This was a special occasion for us! The lawyers and children met face-to-face for the first time as part of the project. Previously, in collaboration with the Czech Bar Association, we’d organized several meetings with the children’s care staff.

We discussed about employment law and shared practical life advice at Klubíčko Children’s Home in Hrotovice, which was warmly received by everyone.

“I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised. All children had a clear idea of their aspirations upon leaving the home. They seemed well-prepared and aware of what to expect. Let’s hope for their success,” remarked Pavel Kroupa from the Czech Bar Association.

This initiative by the Czech Bar Association aims to provide legal assistance and education directly to children and young people living in children’s care homes. On the CBA website, you can find a list of lawyers who are willing to help young people from institutional care without a fee.
