How does WALL OF JOY help?

The Wall of Joy installation invites Designblok visitors to create and reflect on their own work. Everyone can try out the linocut technique, create their own original motif, print it and take home a little piece of joy – at the same time contributing to support children who have been less fortunate in life. The aim of the project is to spread joy where it is scarce – among children and families facing difficulties.

Wall of Joy is therefore not only about art, but also about humanity, kindness and the courage to give a piece of yourself.

  • You are free to carve into the wall at will – except for linocut artists.
  • You can buy A3 format for a contribution of 500 CZK or A5 format for a contribution of 100 CZK (if you apply the paint on the wall and print the linocut yourself).
  • If you do not want to participate in the creation or printing of the linocut yourself, but would like to take the finished linocut home and thus contribute – you can – the contribution for an A3 sheet, which is printed with the linocut of the participating artists, is 1000 CZK.
  • Sheets of linocut paper (A3 and A5) or linocut prints of the artists involved (A3) are offered for sale as part of the public collection of the Tereza Maxová Foundation No. S-MHMP/1501799/2012.
