Proceeds from the auction of 1000 Czechoslovak Miles will again support the To dáš project
Yesterday at 6am, the first crew of this year’s 1000 Miles of Czechoslovak Historic Vehicles competition, which combines a passion for automotive history with charity, set off on the route.
Already on Wednesday, 11 June, Opletalova Street in Prague was transformed into a depot for competition vehicles and the opening programme included a traditional auction of collector’s items and artefacts related to the race. This year’s proceeds even surpassed last year’s and we are very happy that a beautiful 154,500 CZK will go to support our project To dáš!, which helps young people from children’s homes to enter the working world!
We would like to thank all the bidders and our partners, especially the organizers of the 1000 Miles of Czechoslovakia, the Autoclub of the Czech Republic and the National Technical Museum. Your support makes a real impact on the lives of those who need a helping hand.
We wish all competitors a smooth ride and a happy Saturday return to the National Technical Museum, where the whole several-day program will culminate with the announcement of the results.
