Mrs. Petra’s Story

Petra is a single parent raising two daughters. She escaped from an abusive husband who subjected her to psychological terror. Initially, she and her daughters lived with her parents and eventually found refuge in a shelter home, where they received the necessary support and protection. Currently divorced, Petra has filed criminal charges against her ex-husband, with the trial ongoing. Despite her emotional scars and debts from her former marriage, she is determined to be a great mom, work on herself, and complete her engineering degree. Mrs. Petra requested our help to pay for a new refrigerator for her shelter training apartment.

Mrs. Lenka’s Story

Lenka is the mother of a one-year-old boy and grew up in an orphanage. As a single mother without access to childcare, she struggles to earn extra income to cover the debt. She asked for our help to pay off CZK 6,437 in rent arrears for her social apartment. Repaying this debt will allow Lenka to continue living in her municipal flat. With a budget plan developed in cooperation with OSPOD, she should be able to manage her monthly expenses and other small costs in the coming months.
