If the world can have its Wailing Wall, why can’t we have a Wall of Joy? A place where hope, kindness and joy are shared instead of pain and suffering. The 9-metre long installation “Wall of Joy” will offer a space for self-creation, fun and reflection. It will also help children who have been less fortunate in life. The installation will be on display and available to try out within the new pavilion Designblok for Kids in the Křižík Pavilions at the Area of Výstaviště Praha / Exhibition Grounds from 7^th to 12^th October 2025 .

The author of the idea and design of the Wall of Joy is Grand Czech Design award winner Vladimír Žák from the studio Vrtiška & Žák who, together with his colleagues, transformed a white wall into a space for a joyful artistic experience. If you visit Designblok, you can try linocut – a printmaking technique – on the spot. Just create a simple motif, print it on paper and take home a little piece of joy. At the same time, you’ll be contributing to a good cause.

You can make a creative contribution directly to the Wall of Joy, or you can contribute financially by buying A5 (100 CZK) or A3 (500 CZK) paper to print your work or other part of the wall and take it home. The financial support will be handled in the mode of a public collection and the entire proceeds will go to the programmes of the Tereza Maxová Foundation.
