At the Tereza Maxová Foundation, we believe that school should be a safe haven. Via Fund for Education and Integration we therefore fund concrete assistance for the successful inclusive education of pupils and students uprooted by the war in Ukraine. We want to ensure that losing one’s home does not mean the end of one’s studies and to avoid the risk of social exclusion and future unemployment.

We see that early support helps children to overcome isolation and gives them a chance to develop in a new environment, not just survive.

What exactly are we contributing to from the fund?
The Foundation offers support where schools lack the funding to fully engage children in learning and collective activities.

The fund pays for:
– Equipment for studying: Workbooks, textbooks and school supplies necessary for a quality education.
– Circles and integration: after-school activities and outdoor schools so that children do not remain in isolation.
– Professional support: intensive language courses, tutoring and psychological support for children coping with war trauma.

How does the help work? (Important rules)
The contribution is up to CZK 5,000 per child/semester. To make the support targeted and effective, we work directly with schools.
– The application is always made by the school to whose account we send the approved grant.
– The fund is used to directly reimburse costs related to study and integration.
– The grant cannot be applied retroactively for costs already paid and cannot be used to pay for school meals.

The Fund for Education and Integration builds on the successful work of the Fund for Ukrainian Pupils and Students from 2022-2025, when we helped 1,395 children thanks to our partners (Seznam.cz, CTP Invest and others). We want to continue to ensure that respect and solidarity remain part of our schools and lead students to their own self-sufficiency.
