25.11. Mezinárodní děn proti násilí na ženách a dívkách

UN Global Campaign “Orange the World” draws attention to the serious problem of violence against women and girls. The campaign, which runs annually from 25 November to 10 December, calls for an end to gender-based violence and promotes its prevention.

According to UN statistics, nearly one in three women worldwide will experience physical or sexual violence in her lifetime. Girls are particularly at risk, with one in four adolescent girls experiencing violence at the hands of their partner or another man. These alarming figures underscore the urgency of global efforts to end violence against women and girls, one of the most widespread human rights violations.
